Rodney Roush races to defend the honor of Shadybowl Street Stocks
Rodney Roush a 4 time Street Track Champion plans to defend the honor of Shadybowl Street Stocks. For him racing has been a family deal. His dad and brothers have all raced. The Roush and Sons Racing have in the past few years have put as many as 4 Street stocks on the track at the same time. He feels that the local Shadybowl street stocks are as good as any street stock. They are not the $30,000 to $40,000 cars that some in the CRA Street Stock Series team have. These teams have more experience racing at Shadybowl and knows what it takes. Rodney has raced at Shadybowl for about 25 years in street stocks, late models and modifieds and tuners. He would love to race all three Triple Crown but is unable. He races for the points at Shadybowl and can’t afford to miss a week because the tracks points are usually so close. He is looking forward to competing again this season and challenging for the championship.
He now has an 1974 Chevelle chassis street stock and gets lots of help from family and friends. He has models and Modifieds if he wants to race those classes. He feels that the street stock class is the best for him. He does race a tune for a friend.
To prepare for the 2015 season he has gone through the car and removed weight. He also had the engine gone though and refreshed.
Looking forward to Rodney making his presents know at both the CRA Triple Crown race and the regular Street Stock season.
