Two days of racing at Shadybowl Speedway May 23 and 24
Saturdays action
Have you been missing your racing fix because of rain or family commitments? Well this weekend you have the chance to join in on a two day event at Shadybowl Speedway. There will be exciting racing both days.
On Saturday you will have the fast and thrilling modifieds with driving legends like Mike Carrol, Carl Stapleton, and a complete field of drivers like Jamie Sites, Brad William, and Brad Yelton who are working their way to legend status.
The OVDCA will have a 20 lap feature with everyone chasing Daniel Wirick for a win and possible points lead. These are fast little cars with chassis similar to late models with 1000 cc motorcycle engines. They have added a wicker bill on top of the cars to slow them down, so we'll see how that works.
The Tuners will also have a 20 lap feature race. Tuners are the fast front wheel drive cars and everyone will be hunting a way to beat the Eatons cars. Terry Eaton will be back with another engine after blowing one up a couple of weeks ago. There is a tight race for points with Terry Eaton leading and Rodney Roush, Justin Durflinger, Eddie Kemp and Justin Pope, all within 10 points.
Then we have the fun class of racing the Compacts running 20 lap feature. I am not saying they don’t race as hard as other classes, because they do. It just does not cost as much to race and for the most part they like racing each other. Josh Foltz is leading the pack followed closely behind Alex George, Larry Adam, Zach Doolin and Damion Killen.
There will also be practice and qualifying for the Twin 145s Neal Seva/Robbie Dean tribute races, Late Models and Street Stocks who have 145 lap races on Sunday.
