Driver Jeff Lane and his son Colby will be completing in the Stealth Trailers CRA SSS Powered by Jegs, Door Buster 200 at Shadybowl Speedway, April 18. Jeff will be driving for Loyd and Steve Davis Chevy, sponsored by Hilltop Drive In.
Jeff is no stranger to Shadybowl and has raced there often since starting racing in 1989. He started off like a lot of drivers did back then in the Mini Stocks. Throughout the years he has raced Modifieds and Late models on both asphalt and dirt. He has championships in CRA late models and dirt late models at Montpelier, and a Modified championship at Anderson Speedway. He still gets the modified out and races it every once in a while.
Jeff likes the CRA SSS because the cars are much like the late models of the sixties and seventies. He said “they have good handling and are fast”. He also likes the challenges of racing different tracks and the outstanding competitors in the series.
He likes the 200 lap race races because you have to be able to conserve your energy and the car and equipment. If you don’t conserve both, you will be out of the race before it is over.
Jeff likes Shadybowl because it is a lot like the track he started racing at. Jeff expects it to be a great race and a good show for the fans.
